Manara University was established to develop the human capacities needed to rebuild Syria and positively shape its future. It offers an extensive range of academic and professional subjects at undergraduate level including engineering, design, business management, the performing arts and health sciences. The curriculums have been developed with input from leading international institutions and some programs are completely new to Syria’s higher education. Programs combine learning and direct practical experience by striking partnerships with local community, business and the third sector. Manara’s priority is to nurture the skills and positive attitudes that its graduates will require to one day lead Syria forward into a new era of dynamism and prosperity. To date, Manara University has 200 students with the number anticipated to reach 1200 by 2020.
